PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) has received two regional awards at the Asian Oil & Gas Awards 2026, held in Malaysia: Offshore Initiative of the Year – Thailand and Health and Safety Initiative of the Year – Thailand. The recognition reflects PTTEP’s continued commitment to advancing innovation for more efficient offshore operations and elevating safety management across its operations.

The Offshore Initiative of the Year – Thailand award was presented to PTTEP for its success in Thailand’s first “Total Wellhead Platform Reuse”, in which an entire decommissioned petroleum wellhead platform, including both the topside and jacket, was reinstalled and put back into service within the same field. The approach helps shorten operational timelines and reduce costs, while lowering greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production of steel for the construction of a new wellhead platform. The initiative is aligned with circular economy principles and the company’s sustainability approach.

Meanwhile, PTTEP received the Health and Safety Initiative of the Year – Thailand award for its Learning From Normal Work project, which applies the Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) concept to enhance operational safety. Rather than focusing primarily on individual errors, the project promotes learning from everyday work through leadership engagement, experience sharing and work observation. The resulting insights are used to improve work systems and the working environment, helping to reduce factors that may lead to errors and fostering a safer workplace.

The Asian Oil & Gas Awards is a regional award that recognizes leading organizations across Asia’s oil and gas industry for their excellence and tangible achievements. The awards evaluated strategies and initiatives that demonstrate adaptability, measurable outcomes, and the ability to address industry challenges through effective and innovative solutions.
