Bangkok, February 10, 2026 – PTTEP has reached FID for the Malaysia SK405B Project, offshore Malaysia, marking the milestone of the company’s first greenfield development project in the country to support long-term growth.

Mr. Montri Rawanchaikul, Chief Executive Officer, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), said PTTEP Sarawak Oil Limited, a subsidiary of PTTEP, the operator of SK405B PSC, had made the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Sirung and Chenda fields in the Malaysia SK405B Project. This marks PTTEP’s first FID for greenfield developments in Malaysia, one of its strategic countries. The development plan for both fields comprises a central processing platform and a wellhead platform. First oil production is targeted during 2028 with combined production capacity of approximately 15,000 barrels per day.

The project is designed with Zero Routine Flaring and incorporates advanced remote-operated offshore operations, underscoring PTTEP’s strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing operational efficiency.

“Following several successful discoveries that we have made in Malaysia, the Sirung and Chenda fields represent an important step for PTTEP from exploration to development, laying the foundation for future greenfield opportunities. These developments underpin PTTEP’s long-term growth and strengthen our presence in Malaysia with a focus on environmental stewardship while supporting Malaysia’s energy landscape.” added, Mr. Montri.

The Malaysia SK405B Project is operated by PTTEP Sarawak Oil Limited, a subsidiary of PTTEP, holding 49.5% participating interest, with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. holding 25%, and Mitsui Energy Development Co., Ltd. holding 25.5%.

Currently, PTTEP has invested more than 10 projects in Malaysia in exploration, development and production phases.
