PTTEP KM Week 2023 kicks off as the knowledge and experience sharing venue for success amid challenges
Bangkok, 5 September 2023 – PTTEP organizes PTTEP Knowledge Management Week 2023 (PTTEP KM Week) under the theme of “From E&P to New Energy: A Challenging Journey”, an annual flagship events that serves as the essential knowledge, innovative idea and experience-sharing platform for PTTEP staff, government agencies and academic institutions. Human Library is launched as a learning platform to promote PTTEP knowledge-sharing culture and drive the organization towards business success.
Mr. Montri Rawanchaikul, Chief Executive Officer of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), revealed that PTTEP KM Week 2023 with the theme “From E&P to New Energy: A Challenging Journey” reflects PTTEP’s business advancement amid challenges in energy transition. In this regard, PTTEP places significant emphasis on both the value-added aspects of petroleum exploration and production and its diversification into new forms of energy. PTTEP KM Week 2023 is a key venue where the company’s top executives, internal specialists, and representatives from private enterprises and educational institutions to share their knowledge, experiences, innovative ideas, and management concepts. It is aimed at motivating all to apply this knowledge effectively and drive the organization towards business goals.
Joining the experience-sharing session and the opening ceremony are Mr. Payong Srivanich, President of Krungthai Bank; and Mr. Ian Warrilow, Country Manager, Valeura Energy Inc, a leading Canada-based upstream oil & gas company.
The event features the Special Talk session, where experts from other industries deliver speeches on business management that can be applicable to the exploration and production industry: and panel discussions designed to draw inspiration amid challenges by scholars, researchers and specialists from various organizations and institutes, including Dr. Thon Thamrongnawasawat, a renowned marine and environment scholar who is a lecturer at Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Fisheries; Dr. Natthaweeranuch Thongmee, an international relations scholar at Ramkhamhaeng University; and Mr. Kaweewut Temphuwapat, Chief Executive Officer of Purple Ventures Co., Ltd. (Robinhood).
At the Technical Forum and Business Forum, a number of 151 entries from PTTEP’s staff will be showcased, followed by an award presentation ceremony to honor the best submissions.
A new learning platform, “Human Library” is launched at the event with an archive of 27 Human Books shared by personnel with specialized knowledge and expertise in various fields. It is set to promote PTTEP knowledge-sharing culture and serve as the sharing venue for work experiences, keys to success and lessons learned, allowing staff to learn directly from specialists and leverage the knowledge for their future success stories.
PTTEP KM Week 2023 also features an exhibition on innovations, either created and developed in-house by PTTEP or developed in collaboration with educational institutions and private organizations. Highlights include exhibits related to PTTEP Subsurface Research Center, completion technology for expired oil and gas wells, condensate decontamination technology, Smart Forest Solution for integrated agricultural land and forest management, and Green Energy Technology Playground.
PTTEP KM Week has been organized annually since 1996 to encourage the exchanges of knowledge and experiences in petroleum exploration and production, technology and innovation among PTTEP staff, public and private organizations as well as educational institutions. This year’s event, aligned with the carbon-neutral concept, is scheduled to take place during 5-7 September 2023 at Centara Grand, Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok and via online platform.
