PTTEP joins UNEP’s Methane Partnership, supporting greenhouse gas emissions reduction
PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) recently signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to participate in the Oil & Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0) under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), aiming to strengthen PTTEP’s methane emissions management practices to support its Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions target by 2050, and Thailand’s goal of Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065.
OGMP 2.0 is UNEP’s flagship program for the oil and gas industry to manage methane emissions in alignment with international standards. This supports both the Global Methane Pledge to reduce methane emissions and the Paris Agreement’s goal to limit the global warming.
