PTTEP Demonstrates Vision and Innovation at Leading International Conference “IPTC 2025”
From February 18 to 20, 2025, PTTEP participated in the 17th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), one of the premier global events in the energy sector. Held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia under the theme "Energy for All: Reflect >> Innovate >> Evolve", IPTC brought together industry leaders, professionals, and innovators to discuss strategies shaping the future of the petroleum industry.
Executive Leadership and Industry Recognition
At the conference, PTTEP’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Montri Rawanchaikul, played a pivotal role by moderating the CEO Dialogue session titled "Energy for All: Reflect". The session featured discussions with top executives from PETRONAS and SLB, focusing on the evolving landscape of global energy access and sustainability.
In recognition of his leadership and contributions to the energy industry, Mr. Rawanchaikul was honored with the “IPTC Distinguished Achievement Award”. This accolade highlights his outstanding impact on the sector and his role in inspiring future energy leaders.
Showcasing Innovations and Technologies
At IPTC 2025, PTTEP’s exhibition booth served as an interactive space for industry stakeholders to explore the company’s latest advancements, featuring key innovations and technologies, including:
- DigitalX Leveraging digital innovation to enhance operational efficiency across the entire E&P value chain.
- Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Capturing and permanently storing CO₂ in underground geological formations.
- Lan Sang Arun Solar Power Project Utilizing solar energy to power petroleum production operations at the S1 Project in Kamphaeng Phet Province, Thailand.
- Investment in New Energy such as the Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm—the largest offshore wind farm in Scotland.
- ROVULA’s Subsea Robotics Ecosystem Deploying advanced robotics for subsea pipeline inspection to improve operational efficiency, reduce risks, and lower costs.
Breakthroughs in Technologies and Business Solutions
Ms. Maylada Chayavadhanangkur, Senior Vice President of PTTEP’s Carbon and Energy Solutions Division, participated in the panel discussion titled "CCUS/CCTUS: Breakthroughs in Technologies and Innovative Business Solutions". The session addressed key challenges in accelerating CCUS adoption, with a focus on economic feasibility, policy frameworks, and collaboration. Ms. Maylada shared insights into PTTEP’s strategies for overcoming technical barriers and promoting sustainable business models.
Data-Driven Transformation Through AI and Digitalization
At the session titled "Data-Driven Transformation: Leveraging AI and Digitalization for Operational Efficiency", Mr. Sinthu Satawiriya, Head of Ventures at AI and Robotics Ventures (a PTTEP subsidiary), highlighted how AI-driven analytics are reshaping the energy sector. She discussed the integration of AI and digital tools in optimizing operations, reducing costs, and enhancing sustainability. Through predictive analytics and automation, PTTEP is strengthening decision-making and gaining a competitive edge.
