PTTEP and joint venture partners sign agreements to unlock greater value from SK410B Lang Lebah and B14 gas fields

Bangkok, 2 November 2026 – PTTEP, together with TotalEnergies, KUFPEC and PETRONAS Carigali, have entered into a series of Farm-Out Agreements for joint investment in the Lang Lebah and B14 natural gas fields off the coast of Sarawak, offshore East Malaysia, strengthening its strategic position in the country. The agreements further reinforce cooperation among the partners, enhance the development potential of both fields, and contribute to the sustainable development of Malaysia’s petroleum resources.
Lang Lebah, one of the gas fields under the Malaysia SK410B Project, is located approximately 14 kilometres from the B14 field, creating opportunities for integrated development and the sharing of key infrastructure. Both fields are currently in the pre-development phase and are estimated to contain combined resources of more than 6.5 trillion cubic feet (TCF).
Ms. Kanita Sartwattayu, Chief Executive Officer of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), said that “The agreements reflect our portfolio management strategy to enhance the development efficiency of the Lang Lebah and B14 fields together with our joint venture partners. The integrated development of the two gas fields will improve the projects’ economic value and strengthen the prospects for successful field development. The collaboration will also create valuable opportunities for our personnel to exchange knowledge and expertise that can be leveraged for future project development, while supporting the development of Malaysia’s petroleum resources.”
The completion of the transactions is subject to approval from Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM). Upon completion, the participating interests in each field will be held by TotalEnergies EP Exploration (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. (TotalEnergies) at 30% as operator, PTTEP at 25%, KUFPEC Malaysia (SK-410B) Limited (KUFPEC) at 25%, and PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. (PCSB) at 20%.
Currently, PTTEP maintains a strong presence in Malaysia, with investments in 11 projects across the exploration, development, and production phases.
