Flood Relief Campaign in Northern Thailand
PTTEP donated 3,200 survival bags and bottles of drinking water with a total value of Baht 1.5 Million to Major General Padung Yingpaiboonsuk, Deputy Commander, the 3rd Army of the Royal Thai Army and Deputy Commander of the 3rd Army Area Disaster Relief Center Commander to assist in the relief of flood victims in Northern Thailand.
PTTEP organizes Charity Run Fest in Indonesia
PTTEP Indonesia Asset together with the Dompet Dhuafa (DD), a Non-profit Public Healthcare Foundation, organized the "Charity Run Fest" to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of PTTEP-Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma Free Health Care Service (LKC Free Clinic). The event, aimed at promoting health and raising funds to assist underprivileged cancer survivors in Indonesia, the event attracted 1,000 participants. PTTEP contributed an additional of USD 15,000 on top of the funds raised.
The LKC Free Clinic is part of PTTEP's long term efforts to improve the quality of life for underprivileged local communities.
Support to hospitals in operations area
PTTEP S1 Project handed over 5 mobile healthcare vehicles and medical equipment with a total value of Baht 610,000 to 5 hospitals in Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok and Sukhothai Provinces. These mobile healthcare vehicles provide medical services to people in remote areas who are unable to travel to hospital for medical care.
Mooring Buoys Installation
PTTEP together with the Coral Reef and Benthos Research Unit of the Faculty of Science at Prince of Songkla University, Koh Tao Sub-district Municipality, the Save Koh Tao Club and volunteer divers participated in the installation of 15 mooring buoys around the H.T.M.S. Sattakut and other diving sites around Koh Tao, Surat Thani Province. The installation helps reduce the impact and damage on the coral reefs from boats mooring and anchoring.
Support to Thailand Association of the Blind
PTTEP donated Baht 200,000 to the Thailand Association of the Blind to support the Street to Stage (S2S) Fly High Project aiming to develop the capacity of the blind musicians, starting from basic knowledge to professional song composition and additionally the renovation of a sound studio which is also a crucial fundamental part of song development for the blind musicians.
Support to Yacht Racing Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King.
PTTEP signed an MOU with the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, the agreement covers 3 years (2018-2020) and is worth Baht 45 million to support the development of Thai sailing talents. In 2017, Thai sailors won medals in every class they participated in at the SEA Games i.e. 2 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.
PTTEP Hand in Hand Social Contribution Club organizes donation activity in Myanmar
PTTEP Hand-in-Hand Social Contribution Club together with Myanmar Asset staff, Executives and their families, organized a donation activity for a school in the Thein Ngu Township, Myanmar. This activity included renovating the school building and facilities, and the donation of basic essentials and funds.
Besides these activities featured, other PTTEP International Assets have also contributed to important causes in the country such as contributions to the Heart Lake First Nation Winter Carnival/ Activities in Canada, support to 7th Joint Convention and Exhibition Malang and 2nd Social Enterprise Advocacy and Leveraging (SEAL) Conference 2017 in Indonesia and sponsorship of NT Young Achiever Awards in Australia.
