Subject: Investment in Exploration Blocks SK417 and SK438 in Malaysia
PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited, or PTTEP wishes to announce that on 30 March 2018, PTTEP HK Offshore Limited (Malaysia Branch) or PTTEP HKO, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTTEP and PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. (PCSB) signed Production Sharing Contracts with Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) for exploration and production rights of 2 blocks located in the shallow water of offshore Malaysia, as a result of winning the PETRONAS 2017 Exploration Bidding Round.
The consortium consists of PTTEP HKO (the Operator) and PCSB with participating interests of 80% and 20% respectively.
This investment in Malaysia exploration blocks is in line with PTTEP’s strategy to expand investment into areas of expertise with high petroleum potential.
