Bangkok 12 September 2019 - PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) organizes PTTEP Knowledge Management Week 2019 (PTTEP KM Week 2019), under the theme ‘Energy Partner of Choice Driven by Technology and Innovation’ emphasizing the importance of technology and innovation in driving sustainable business growth.

Presiding over the PTTEP KM Week 2019 was Mrs. Premrutai Vinaiphat, Director General, Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy and Mr. Chansin Treenuchagron, President and Chief Executive Officer, PTT Public Company Limited was an honorable speaker on the topic “Change for the Sustainable Future”.

Mr. Phongsthorn Thavisin, PTTEP President and Chief Executive Officer, said “in coping with business challenges nowadays, knowledge-sharing becomes crucial both within the organization and with partners across sectors. By encouraging collaboration, we bring together various expertises to develop technologies and innovation to enhance business capabilities. PTTEP KM Week 2019 is one of the platforms for the purpose, for our employees, PTT Group, state agencies and education institutions to exchange knowledge and establish collaboration for the future of energy industry.”

PTTEP KM Week 2019 features Expert Talks by Dr. Ram Shenoy, Board of Directors, AlphaX Decision Sciences and Former Chief Technology Officer of ConocoPhillips on “E&P Technology Trends for the Future” and Assistant Professor Dr. Tanyanuparb Anantana, Director, Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University on the topic “Transformation, from Good to Great”; Technical Forum; Business Forum and Innovation Awards presentation. This year event received 201 technical and business proposals and 96 innovation proposals among which the award winning projects will be selected for further development.

Highlights of the event also include an exhibition showcasing PTTEP’s latest technologies developed in partnership with academic institutions and private sector for example the Advanced Exploration Technology such as Electromagnetic Geophone, Enhanced Oil Recovery Technology, Advanced Gas and Condensate Treatment Technology, innovative Sampling PIG technique for collecting substances inside the pipeline and AI and Robotics technology such as Inspection-class Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (IAUV) for inspecting underwater infrastructure and pipelines.

PTTEP KM Week 2019 is organized between 12-13 September 2019 at Centara Grand, Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok.
