PTTEP partners with the Mechai Viravaidaya Foundation to develop education with integrated concept of Pracharath-School and School-Bird in 3 pilot schools

PTTEP is collaborating with the Mechai Viravaidaya Foundation and three schools to develop the innovative education system for schools to be the life - long learning centers and hubs of economic and social development for communities, a new concept of integrated education development with Pracharath-School and School-Bird projects.

PTTEP jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the cooperation for the School-Based Integrated Rural Development Project (School-Bird) with the Mechai Viravaidaya Foundation and three pilot schools in three provinces around the S1 project, the onshore oil field of PTTEP, namely Ban Pradu Thao School in Sukhothai Province, Ban Bueng Thap Raet School in Kamphaeng Phet Province and Padung Wittaya School in Phitsanulok Province. This collaboration is aimed at developing the schools by incorporating the innovative education system of the Mechai Pattana School in Burirum Province and the concept of Pracharath-School project. The students will be imparted with the basic education curriculums plus occupational skills. With these concepts, the schools will become the place for not only educating children, encouraging honesty, discipline and public consciousness for young generation but also training the students and community members in business entrepreneurship to generate income for their families. This development model intended to improve quality of life of community members and create self-sustaining community. The cooperation under this agreement will be carried out for a period of 4 years.

PTTEP and PTT group are part of private sectors participated in driving the Pracharath-school project, initiated by the government to strengthen the nation’s economy and income of local communities. The education development is one of PTTEP’s focused Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects to improve human capital as the solid foundation of the nation.
